Queer Altars

Julian creates altars and shrines as a way to connect with queer elders—those whose stories feel familiar, whose lives echo their own in ways both big and small. Using upcycled materials and deeply personal objects, like a grandmother’s rosary, each piece becomes a tribute, a way of saying, I see you. I remember you. It’s about finding common threads in history, honoring resilience, and creating something tangible to hold space for those who came before.
