Southern California's largest celebration of science, making, creativity, invention, and fun will be FREE and open to the public with hands-on activities, amazing experiences, workshops, lectures and appearances by famous creators and science celebrities! This event reflects the diversity of the greater Los Angeles region and promotes access to science and creativity for all! This event is a combination of City of STEM and Los Angeles Maker Faire. The event will also include content in Spanish.

FREE

City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire is a free, non-ticketed event. All are welcome.

Raffle

While a ticket is not needed to attend City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire, if you would like to be entered into a raffle for a special prize, we encourage you to register on Eventbrite.

A winner will be announced during the opening program at the Main Stage between 10 - 11a.m. the morning of the event. Attendees must be present at the time of the announcement in order to win. Your Eventbrite registration also helps us get an estimated attendee count and will allow us to email any pertinent event information in advance.

Location

City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire takes place at Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 N Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The event is outdoors and will happen rain or shine. Shade is limited at the park, so please remember sunscreen and water if it’s a sunny day. Please remember an umbrella or rain gear if it’s a rainy day. Most events and exhibitors will be on the grass lawn.

Getting There:

Go Metro! Public transportation is a great option for traveling to the event.

By Train: Take the A Line to Chinatown Station. The south entrance to the park is a 2 minute walk from the station.

By Bus: Take the 76 Bus Line to Chinatown Station. The south entrance to the park is a 2 minute walk from the station.

Union Station: The event location is approximately 1 mile from Union Station

Parking:

Parking is extremely limited; we advise using public transportation or ride-sharing. There is limited street parking near the Los Angeles State Historic Park; please obey all posted parking restrictions and be respectful of local residents and businesses.

Free parking will be available from 7a.m. - 7p.m. at Dodger Stadium, Lot 13. Free shuttle service is available to transport you from Lot 13 to the event. Shuttles will run about every 10 minutes between both locations.

Note: You must exit Dodger Stadium by 7p.m.. The Lot will be locked promptly at 7p.m.

Lot 13 is the open lot adjacent to Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center, located at 1700 Stadium Way, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Food

Food trucks selling a variety of cuisine will be at the event. There is a snack stand at the south end of the park, as well as many restaurants in the vicinity, including nearby Chinatown. However, you are also welcome to pack your own snacks and enjoy a picnic on the lawn!

Water

You are welcome to bring water and refillable water bottles. Drinking water will be available while supplies last at designated stations.
